Michael Taremba
Chief Executive Officer
With an industry background ranging from operational roles in food logistics through to planning and coordination work, Michael joined the LSC (formerly Logistics & Defence Training Council) in early 2010. Initially working in the area of warehousing and logistics identifying skills gaps and workforce challenges, he has over the years expanded his remit to include Aviation and Rail industries.
As part of providing strategic workforce development advice to the State Government, Michael investigates economic, social and industrial trends relating to the Logistics Industries. Whilst unpacking both qualitative and quantitative aspects of the VET sector, he also draws on his economics and project management experience as he regularly consults with with a broad mix of stakeholders on training and workforce development concerns. Stakeholder engagement includes but is not limited to Government agencies, employers, employee groups industry associations and training providers.
He has worked on and facilitated a number of project initiatives designed to increase levels of workforce participation. He is responsible for ensuring that any training developed nationally is appropriate for the State and meets industry’s needs. It is vital that Industry has a voice in determining the future workforce development needs of the State.

Amanda Green
Industry Consultant
Amanda joined the Logistics & Skills Council (LSC) in February 2018, having previously worked as a Policy Advisory with the Resources Industry Training Council (RITC). Amanda has over 18 years’ experience specialising in Organisational Psychology, Human Resource Consulting and providing in-house customised Training. Amanda’s employment history and voluntary pro-bono work has provided her with the opportunity to work with many organisations within Local and State Government, as well as the not for profit and private industry. As well as her practical experience, Amanda has an Undergraduate degree in Psychology (BPsych) and is progressing towards the completion of her Masters in Applied Psychology (Organisational). She looks forward to working with the team to improve the workforce capacity of the industries under the LDSC’s coverage.

John Fisher
Industry Consultant
John joined the Logistics Skills Council (LSC) in May 2021 following a long history working across different industry environments. Previous experience includes the Executive Officer of Edith Cowan University Registered Training Organisation (trading as the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA)). John is a qualified trainer who has written and accredited courses to Advanced Diploma level. John has served in the British and Australian Armed Forces John has a background for his focus areas at the LSC of Rail, Maritime, Ports and Stevedoring.
Ian Ryan
Industry Consultant
Ian brings 30 years of experience earned through managing both large and small teams in the highly competitive UK retail sector. Ian understands the customer lifecycle. Ian has worked in senior management teams and deployed the roll-out of an eCommerce platform for a significant cultural organisation. Ian is committed to life-long learning and recently completed a graduate Diploma in Community Development from Murdoch University. Ian joined the Logistics Skills Council (LDSC) in January 2022. His current portfolio cover Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokering, Aviation and the Space sectors.
