On 8 September 2022, the Council endorsed the following advice for RTOs on granting credit to learners for superseded equivalent units of competency[1]:
The Training Accreditation Council (TAC) have advised their Focus on Quality: Regulatory Strategy 2021-2023 has identified First Aid units of competency within the HLT Health Training Package as a continued area of focus.
We were delighted to see an incredible turnout of RTOs representing our diverse industry coverage areas on Friday 3 December 2021 at the LDSC annual RTO Forum. With at least representative from each industry sector: Maritime, Retail, Aviation, Road Transport, Rail, Warehousing and Logistics. The annual LDSC RTO Forum is back for 2021 at Floreat Forum on Friday 3 December 2021 for a half day. LDSCs new CEO, Michael Taremba will provide an opening address regarding LDSCs future directions. Guest speakers will include presenters from the Training Accreditation Council (TAC), Australian Industry Standards (AIS) and the Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) who will provide updates and guidance on their various areas.
We look forward to welcoming you all to this year’s event. Registrations are open and will close Friday 12 November 2021. The Training Accreditation Council (TAC) have released their Regulatory Strategy for 2021-2023. The Strategy informs Training Providers and VET stakeholders about areas of specific focus for TAC, and the highest risks to the quality of VET as well as the regulatory actions for monitoring and minimising those risks.
